Jennifer Muirhead lives in Brisbane, Australia with her husband, children, and vicious scaly pets. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor of Creative Industries from the Queensland University of Technology. In her spare time she enjoys creative writing, reading and shouting at the little people in the television who never take her advice.

Her favour authors (in no particular order) include Sean Williams, Shane Dix, Nick Earls, Nick Hornby, Kurt Vonnegut, Agatha Christie, Jeanette Winterson, Chuck Palahniuck, Will Shetterly, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Geoffrey Chaucer, Scott Westerfeld, Andrew McGahan, and Charles Bukowski.

Her work has appeared in Khimairal Ink and the 2011 anthology 100 Stories for Queensland. She also writes regularly for Weekend Notes.
